BRAZILIAN STARFISH YELLOW - Capsicum baccatum - 10 Seeds

The Brazilian Starfish Yellow is a unique, eye-catching variety of Capsicum baccatum prized for its striking shape and tropical flavor. 

The peppers are roughly 5 cm wide, with a flattened, fluted shape that resembles a starfish or a "star-shaped UFO".

Heat Level: Generally moderate, ranging from 10,000 to 30,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). 

Known for a sweet, fruity, and slightly citrusy taste. It is often described as having notes of apple, cherry & strawberry.

These plants are vigorous and tall, often reaching 1.22 metres in height. The heat is primarily concentrated in the centre (placenta and seeds), while the outer edges are often quite sweet and mild.  Because of its unusual shape and vibrant yellow color, it is frequently grown as an ornamental plant to "liven up" gardens.

Beyond fresh snacking, they are excellent for pickling because their thick, crunchy walls hold up well in vinegar.
