Cara Cara oranges, often called "The Pink Navel," are a unique citrus variety celebrated for their vibrant interior color and exceptionally sweet, low-acid flavor.   Unlike typical navel oranges, Cara Caras feature a striking pinkish-red flesh.   Extremely sweet with very low acidity. They are often described as having complex, berry-like undertones such as raspberry, cranberry, and blackberry.
On the outside, they look like standard navel oranges with bright orange, pebbly skin. Inside, they reveal a deep salmon or rose-pink color.
While blood oranges get their red color from anthocyanins, Cara Caras get their pink hue from lycopene, the same powerful antioxidant found in tomatoes and grapefruit.
They contain roughly 20% more vitamin C and 30% more vitamin A than standard navel oranges.
