R 17

Cosmos bipinnatus 'Casanova Violet' is a popular, compact, and free-flowering annual plant known for its vibrant violet daisy-like blooms and feathery foliage. As a member of the Casanova series, it is specifically bred to be a semi-dwarf, "genetically compact" variety, making it ideal for container gardening and smaller spaces.

Appearance: Violet saucer-shaped flowers (up to 8cm across) with a yellow center, held on branching, upright stems.

Growth Conditions: Thrives in full sun, requiring 68 hours of direct light, and prefers well-drained, moderately fertile soil.

Ideal Usage: Excellent for patio pots, containers, and the front of garden borders.

Maintenance: Low maintenance, drought-tolerant once established, and requires regular deadheading to promote continuous blooms.

The flowers are exceptional at attracting bees, butterflies, and other beneficial pollinators.

Seeds germinate quickly, often within 510 days, and the plant can flower in as little as 6 weeks from sowing.

It is very easy to grow and often thrives in poor, "lean" soiltoo much fertilizer can actually lead to fewer blooms and more foliage.

Cosmos bipinnatus, is native to Mexico, where the name derives from the Greek word for "ordered" or "balanced" due to its symmetrical petals
