An upright herbaceous plant or small shrub usually growing 0.3-1 m tall, but occasionally reaching up to 2 m in height.
Its fleshy fruit turn from green to yellow and eventually bright orange-red as they mature.
Solanum pseudocapsicum, also known as Jerusalem cherry, has traditional medicinal uses, including treating boils, gonorrhoea, and abdominal pain. It's also used as a male tonic. However, it's important to note that the plant is poisonous, and some parts are toxic.
