TILLANDSIA BERGERI - AIR PLANT
Tillandsia bergeri is a hardy air plant famous for forming massive, ball-like clumps. Native to Argentina, it is one of the most resilient species in the Tillandsia genus.
Unlike many tropical air plants, this one actually prefers a cold snap in winter to trigger its spring blooms.
In the wild, it is a "lithophyte," meaning it naturally grows on steep granite cliffs rather than in soil or on trees.
Sunscreen Leaves: The grey "fuzz" on its leaves (trichomes) reflects harsh sunlight and absorbs moisture from the air.
Extremely tough; it can survive temperatures as low as -12°C if kept dry.
Requirement Ideal Condition
Light Bright, indirect light or morning sun; can turn bronze in high light.
Water Mist 2-3 times weekly or soak for 20 minutes once a week.
